Your Master of Ceremonies

I have been identifying as Pagan since 1995, and although the labels and respective communities have changed over time, my essential beliefs and practices have not changed drastically.  I am a devotee of Frey and His etin-bride Gerda, with primary focus on the Vanir, and allegiance to both Jotnar and Aesir Deities.  I am a proud member of Iron Wood Kindred, and a founding member of Vanaheim Fellowship.  I'm in a committed relationship with a wonderful man who is also a devotee of Frey and a Vanic Witch himself.

My first major publication, the devotional anthology "Gifts of the Golden God", written and compiled in honor of Frey, will be released via Asphodel Press later in 2008.  I have works in several other Northern Tradition anthologies (including "Feeding the Flame: A Devotional to Loki and His Family" by Galina Krasskova), and I'm currently working on "Gods of the Wain, Gods of the Witches: A Guide to Working with the Vanir Year-Round", as well as co-compiling the book "Sex With Gods" with my friend Gunnlod-Hjarta, a study on the God-spouse phenomenon within mystical Paganism and other traditions.

I'm a native of central Connecticut, and moved to Southern California in 2006.  I enjoy cooking good food, organic gardening, and nature walks.  When not writing, I often indulge my hobbies of beading, sculpting, and drawing (preferred medium is colored pencil and oil pastels).  Some of my favorite music includes Cocteau Twins, Björk, Kate Bush,
Le Mystère des Voix Bulgares, Diamanda Galás, Nine Inch Nails, Tool, A Perfect Circle, Deftones, Jamiroquai, Radiohead, Moby, Portishead, Massive Attack, Hagalaz Runedance, Garmarna, Sol Invictus, Tor Lundvall, and Current 93.  I'm a Sun Aquarius (Scorpio rising!), and my Myers-Briggs personality type is ISTJ = Introverted/Sensing/Thinking/Judging.

Please also look at this page if you have need of my services as a Freysgydhia, whether for legal ceremonies (weddings and funerals) or readings/advisement.  For general contact, I try to reply as soon as I can; sometimes life gets busy and life does take precedence over the Internet, but I will respond as I have time.

Truly, it is in darkness that one finds the light,
so when we are in sorrow,
then this light is nearest of all to us.
